Beatrix Montanile - Studio Director

Beatrix, aka "Trixie" to her students, has been a practitioner of yoga for over 26 years. She received her extensive yoga training in India where she became certified in Ashtanga Yoga and Yoga Therapy and has been teaching locally and abroad for 10 years.  She also holds certificates in Thai Yoga Massage and Ayurvedic Massage and is a member of the Natural Health Practitioner's Association of Canada.

In 2009, Beatrix was introduced to the incredible health benefits of the OmGym Suspension System and in 2010 she began offering Suspension Yoga classes in Toronto. Together with Sarah Kellett, the founder of OmGym International, she now also facilitates Teacher Training programs with the OmGym Suspension System in Canada.

 

 

 

 

 


Jane Danielson - Family Suspension Play & Kids Suspension Yoga

Jane Danielson is a dancer, Thai Massage practitioner and teacher of Yoga and dance to humans of all ages. After completing her BFA in dance at York University, Jane discovered Yoga to be a wonderful way to heal, balance and relax the body. 

Jane has been inspiring kids in yoga and dance for over 10 years. She has taught children in ages ranging from 2 years old into the teens in both private and public schools, community centres and selected studios around Toronto. Jane's classes are playful and help children to develop skills for long-term health, coordination, creativity and the ability to work both independently and as well as in groups. Jane completed her certification training and is qualified to teach the OmGym Suspension System.

 

 

 

 

 

Gloria Laux-Feltham  - The M.E.L.T. Method
 
Gloria or "Glo" as she is affectionately referred to by students, is a Certified Pilates Instructor with a strong background in the healing arts: Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Touch, Healing Touch, Cranio-Sacral Therapy. She received her training from Sue Hitzmann, the creator of MELT Method and is currently the only practitioner in Toronto certified to teach this revolutionary technique.

Angela Caliendo - Suspension Yoga

Has been a yogi for over 15 years and a certified  classical Hatha yoga instructor since 2005. Being very interested in and loving all styles of yoga she has also taken additional teacher trainings and holds certificates in Prenatal, Restorative and Yin yoga.

The first time she heard about Suspension Yoga and saw a photo of someone in an inverted position using the OmGym, she knew it was something she wanted to try. She has since developed a great passion for it, setting one up in her home, travelling with it and getting everyone she knows to try it. Every one does and loves it! She has never felt better -  healthier, stronger, revitalised and more youthful in her life! After completeing The OmGym Suspension Yoga Teacher Training at the Flying Yogi in Oct. 2011, she has been practicing and assisting in classes there ever since.

Angela is so happy and excited to be teaching and sharing her passion for all things yoga and now especially Suspension Yoga!

Anuta Bondarenko - Assisting and Video Production

Anuta has a background in script supervision and film editing before taking time off to raise her two small children, now 3 and 5 years of age.  

Once Anuta was introduced to Suspension Yoga classes a couple of years ago, she became inspired to make a major career change.

After completeing her Suspension Yoga teacher training, in April 2012, she went on to also acquire her 250 hr Yoga Alliance Certification through Downward Dog Yoga Studio in Toronto.  Anuta loves what Suspension Yoga has done for her and enthusiastically introduces all of her friends and relatives to the OmGym.

Anuta assists regularily with the Introduction to Suspension Yoga Workshops and fills in as substitute teacher for many of the classes at The Flying Yogi studio.  Now expecting her third child, once Anuta finishes her Prenatal teacher training course with Yoga Space, she plans to create a Pre/Post Natal Suspension course to prepare new moms for a comfortable delivery and assist them with getting back on track both physically and emotionally once their babies have been born.

Anuta is also the creative force behind The Flying Yogi's YouTube channel.

Natalie Fullerton- Aerial Dance Program

Natalie Fullerton is a classically trained dancer who also holds a BFA in dance from York University. After completing her degree she discovered the circus arts and has never looked back.

In addition to co-directing her own fire and aerial company, Goodness Gracious..., she has also performed across Canada, the USA and Europe with various companies and choreographers including Circus Orange, Femmes du Feu, A2D2 Aerial Dance Cirque Company, Les Coquettes, Lady Luck, LaRouge and Company Blonde. 

Along with performing, Natalie also teaches dance and circus arts.

After having explored some aerial moves with the OmGym, Natalie was so impressed by the vast possibilities for movement expression, that she offered to create an Aerial Dance program for The Flying Yogi studio.
